How I Work

Typical engagements last 6 to 12 months, with 2 to 3 coaching sessions per month. While the coaching process outlined here provides a structure, results, as well as the elements of discovery, alignment and integration occur at every stage of the coaching engagement.

Phase 1

Discovery

In the first phase of coaching, we explore professional history, workplace dynamics, current challenges and targeted outcomes. These sessions lay the foundation for your development plan.

Outcomes: Zero in on personal strengths, identify blind spots and areas for development, begin outlining objectives and defining your results trajectory.

Phase 2

Alignment

Through coaching, you begin to change behaviors and take new actions aimed at achieving target objectives. As we align strengths with goals, we also focus on developing new skills, to close gaps that impede higher performance.

Outcomes: Increase existing strengths, build awareness of challenges to your success and how to overcome them, establish your intentional leadership style.

Phase 3

Integration

Through practice and refinement, you begin to routinely master former stressors. Building from a new, higher-performance foundation, we expand coaching towards broader cultural change and organizational success.

Outcomes: Greater personal and professional confidence, heightened effectiveness, measurable results, a clear and expansive leadership vision.

Results

Results typically begin in the very first meeting, when 90% of my clients reach a critical insight or understanding they had overlooked. More insights follow through the Discovery phase. Small but meaningful shifts in your work experience illuminate the potential for transformation.

With coaching through the Alignment and Integration phases, deliberate and sometimes difficult thought and behavior changes become more and more automatic. Each win paves the way for the next and puts even greater change within reach as your results curve grows steeper.

Secondary effects begin to cascade through your team and your organization.

Culture changes, efficiencies evolve, and your leadership development manifests in metrics targeted at the outset of your coaching.
